Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision offers counsellors a supportive, reflective space to explore client work, professional development and the emotional impact of practice. It provides an opportunity to think more deeply, consider different perspectives, strengthen ethical decision-making and maintain safe, effective client care. Supervision can also help you build confidence, recognise your strengths and work through challenges without judgement. Sinead offers face-to-face clinical supervision from our York offices, while Daniel provides supervision online, giving qualified counsellors and trainees flexible access to thoughtful, collaborative support wherever they are based.

How we work

Clinical supervision provides a supportive, reflective space to explore client work, professional development and the emotional impact of counselling practice. Sinead trained and qualified as a clinical supervisor with the Leeds Centre for Psychological Development in 2021. She offers face-to-face supervision in York to both trainee and qualified counsellors. Daniel provides online supervision for trainees and qualified practitioners. Both work with the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, developed by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet in 1985, encouraging thoughtful exploration of the client, counsellor, supervisory relationship and wider context to support ethical, effective and confident practice.
