Children & Young People

Growing up can bring pressures that feel difficult to manage alone. Challenges at home or school, friendships, relationships, identity, anxiety and expectations can leave a young person feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood or unsure where to turn. Working with a counsellor offers a confidential, supportive space to talk openly, make sense of feelings and explore ways forward without judgement. Sinead, Daniel and Kirsty work with children and young people from our offices at the Raylor Centre and in Bootham, adapting their approach to each young person’s needs.

We can work with you on issues such as stress, anxiety and depression. We aim to support you and offer an open and transparent level of confidentiality in our work, in agreement with you, your parents and care givers.

Growing up can bring pressures that feel difficult to manage alone. Our counsellors offer a supportive space where young people can talk openly and feel understood. Kirsty has worked in education and with a specialist young people’s counselling service since 2024, supporting young people from age 11.
